Hi Captain J and Keala,

We had such a wonderful time.  That smile on Jim's face might just last for months.  Thanks so much for working so hard for us.

We hope that someday we can fish with you again.

Hanapaa!! (is that fish on?) and Mahalo,

Carol and Jim

Captain ‘J’

I just wanted to thank you again for the totally awesome day you gave us fishing Saturday before last.  I have never experienced so much fun and excitement on a fishing trip and I’ve been on more than a few.  Of course those were on the coast of Washington where the weather and water are a whole lot colder and a whole lot rougher.  I spoke to my sister (she and her husband are BIG fishers) about our trip and she was green with envy but delighted that we had such a good day and even more ecstatic that I didn’t get sea sick (and had such a great time).

If ever Ralph and I should get back to Kauai I’m sure we will look you up again.  Even if we don’t catch 42 tuna you’re a great entertainer and an even better captain.

Have a good and profitable year and God bless!
Carol Boswell

Hello Captain J,
Hope all is well with you and thanks again for the once and a lifetime fishing experience.  Catching such a huge fish was surely a surprise and will not be forgotten for a very long time!  I have a lot of jealous fishing buddies to say the least!  Was curious how the bill mount was coming along or what the status was on that.  Also, I saw a few pictures on the net of the fish and was curious if you had any that you might be able to forward to me.  Alisha e-mailed Wendy and Rod but has not received any response back.  Anyhow, I look forward to hearing from you soon. Oh ya, hows the fishing been lately?  Thanks again,

Joe Bloomfield

Please accept our thanks for a great fishing trip this week.  Your "backyard" is gorgeous ;)   We appreciate your efforts "above and beyond" in getting fish on the boat, and realize that fishing is fishing (if we could shoot fish in a barrel it wouldn't be nearly as cool), and some days are better than other.   I also enjoyed watching you and Chilo (?) work together to make things happen - nice work!

Gotta tell you the Ahi we caught made excellent sushi and bbq and the Wrasse was sweet and tender, if bony with rubber for skin!  We also appreciate your patience while herding cats with a bunch of newbies.  Reckon we'll be a bit more proficient next year!

Thanks again for the wonderful day, and we are looking forward to another adventure next year!

Aloha Captain J and Chris,

I had a great day. Thanks for helping me with steering the boat and being nice when I was seasick. I also appreciate you helping me wrangle those Skipjack. I also give special thanks to Chris for bringing me a towel with ice in it and letting me sit in the captain’s chair.

Mahalo, Reed

I also want to say thanks for making Reed’s first deep sea fishing experience a good one! Even though he was seasick, he bounced back quickly and we went boogie boarding in the afternoon. He was even talking about the “next time we go fishing…” Plus, I BBQ’D the tuna (olive oil, pepper and lemon) and it was delicious. A big hit with the rest of the family.

Cheers, Keith

BERTRAM HISTORY

"The 31 has become a benchmark both in terms of sea keeping ability and rugged fiberglass construction. It has had a reputation from the start as a boat that will take you out and bring you back."
(Soundings, May 1994)

When you hear people talking about the Bertram 31, this is it. Possibly the most famous sport fishing boat ever built, continuously in production for 25 years right up to 1986, with the last year dubbed the "Silver Anniversary Edition." "Unquestionably what made this boat such a big seller are her gorgeous lines. If you haven't fallen in love with her (Oh, yeah, it is a HER!), go buy a lesser breed." David Pascoe

"Bertram Yacht exists because of the 31—a single design that revolutionized offshore powerboat racing and changed the way yachtsmen used their boats."" Still, she's as capable and safe a boat in heavy seas as you will find—and she is a thrill to command and a pleasure to look at." Jay Coyle Yachting Magazine
